The Award
The NEOS × GERYON Album Release Award invites composers of contemporary music worldwide to submit a complete album project for release on NEOS Music.
The selected project receives a complete NEOS portrait album release at no cost to the winning composer, including a CD release and a digital release, high-definition mastering by Murat Çolak (GERYON, NYC), worldwide distribution, and international promotion.
An international jury of composers, performers, broadcasting professionals and specialist music journalists, and recording and mastering engineer Murat Çolak (GERYON) selects the winning project.
NEOS × GERYON Digital Compilation
The jury will select the winning album project from a shortlist of ten composers. The other nine shortlisted composers will each be invited to contribute one work to the NEOS × GERYON Digital Compilation, sharing their music with an international audience through a professionally mastered digital release—also at no cost to them.
For complete, release-ready album projects
Applicants submit existing recordings and a fully developed album concept. The selected project will receive a comprehensive release package through NEOS, including cover, digipak, and booklet layout in the widely recognized NEOS design, liner notes by professional writers (if desired), restoration (where needed) and high-definition mastering by GERYON, worldwide distribution, and international promotion. The award does not cover the cost of new recording sessions.
- Eligibility
Open to composers working in any area of contemporary music, from anywhere in the world, who are 35 years old or younger on the submission deadline.
There is no application fee.

A complete album program of up to 75 minutes, including audio recordings, scores (where applicable), an artistic concept, and your biography.
The recordings should be suitable for professional release. All recording, performance, publishing, and other necessary rights and permissions must be cleared or obtainable for release.
